Sofitel Legend Santa Clara in the TOP 20 of the best hotels in South America in the Readers’ Choice Awards 2023

The most demanding travelers continue to choose the hotel due to the experiences that combine history, modernity and that French touch in the same place.

Once again, Sofitel Legend Santa Clara occupies the first places in the Readers’ Choice Awards 2023 list that has just been published by the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler magazine, and in which it ranked the Sofitel Legend Santa Clara hotel as the FOURTH BEST HOTEL IN SOUTH AMERICA in the TOP 20, also achieving the best ranking of hotels in the country.

Throughout these 35 years of the Readers’ Choice Awards, loyal readers continue to showcase travel experiences, from hotels and airlines to cruises and islands, as well as other properties and wonderful settings that make the stay memorable.

According to the magazine, 2023 was a year in which we recalibrated what was really important. Few seemed to have disappeared into the metaverse, preferring real-life encounters that ranged from off-grid nature getaways to well-connected urban luxury.

“It’s clear from the results of our 26th Readers’ Awards that people want to spend more time and money than ever on travel. Much of that is to new destinations, along with culturally informed travel, local food and sustainability,” the organizers explained.

The Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Hotel highlighted the mix of elements from the colonial era that the building still preserves in its architectural part and how it combines with modernity in an elegant way, highlighting the contemporary design of its colonial and republican rooms, the gastronomy of its restaurants, in addition to its location in the historic center of the city, which allows travelers to reach other places of interest such as the Inquisition palace, among others.
